Service Description
Our winter workshop series consists of engaging and interactive classes that introduce students to the complex world of code through music and game design. In these workshops, students will learn how to code using two of today’s cutting-edge programming languages Python and JavaScript. The technical abilities gained in these workshops can be used to build highly marketable tech skills. By the end of this course, students will know how to design, develop, execute a program and create a multi-track song within Earsketch. Students will also gain proficiency in developing Python programs using an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and create interactive Games! *Open Registration - Dec 1st - Jan 5th *Great for Middle and High School students *Materials Needed: Laptop, Desktop, or tablet (iPad), Internet Access, and a Speaker *Classes are virtual and access details will be emailed prior to the start date January 8th 6 pm - 7:30 pm Welcome/ Introduction to Python / Exploring Programming Concepts Introduction to Earsketch, Learning the Earsketch Interface and IDE Overview Python Song Structure, Arrays, Loops, and Various Data Types, Beats, and Fractions January 15th 6 pm - 7:30 pm Python Lesson/ Algorithms/Design Process/Create Full Song / Project 1 Project 2 Song and Code Presentation Python Project Presentation January 22nd 6 pm - 7:30 pm Introduction to Game Development - Plan and Execute Design Process Storyboarding and Implementation January 29th 6 pm - 7:30 pm Complete Game Code Game Presentations
